We were a group of 3 doing the whisky trail and ended up on Islay. What a wonderful property to stay at, on the island. The hotel is in a very good location, very near to the Port Ellen Ferry terminal. There are restaurants, a pub and a convenient store nearby. We had the family room which had 3 separate beds and a folding bed. The room was very spacious, well appointed and clean. There was plenty of natural light and the windows are very well placed to allow for cross-ventilation. Heating in the room was perfect. The bathroom is fairly large and roomy, very clean and had all basic amenities like body wash, shampoo, overnight kit, etc. The shower has fantastic water pressure and hot & cold water are seamless and the controls easy to manage. The beds are quite comfortable and offered a very good night's sleep. Although, the property is right by the main road there is hardly any disturbance from the street below. There is daily housekeeping and it's nice to come back to clean sheets and fresh towels. Excellent choices available for breakfast, which is a table service, but unlimited. A lot of pluses staying at this property.

Staff: took the time to remember our names before we even got there, super hospitable, and always make sure to prioritize the guests. They went above and beyond for any requests we had. Room: cleanliness & amenities felt like a hotel, decor felt like home, perfect mix Food/bar: local bar is right downstairs (but split from the hotel side if you just need entrance/exit), what else could you want. Food was really good as well. They also have a sister restaurant that books out down the street! This is our favorite hotel that we've ever stayed at. Can't wait to go back, thank you to everyone at Lochindaal!

The Port Charlotte Hotel is a real jewel on the island. Fantastic views across the bay. The hotel position is made even better by the food choice and quality and where possible use of island produce. All this is topped of with wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. A fabulous stay. I will definitely be returning to the Port Charlotte Hotel

Located in Port Ellen, No. 1 Charlotte Street has a garden, shared lounge, bar, and free WiFi. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. The hotel was very clean and well located. The staff was helpful with directions and information about the area. We would stay there again.

Lochside hotel is situated in Bowmore and features a terrace. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Free WiFi is available. Room was very cozy and clean Complimentary breakfast was excellent, dinner very good Bowmore distillery is really close, within walking distance
