Set in a 19th-century building, The Sands Hotel, Orkney is situated along the shore of Scapa Flow in Burray village. It has a bar, a restaurant and beautiful sea views. Clean and well placed and we ate extremely well.

Located in Stromness and with Standing Stones of Stenness reachable within 8.5 km, The Royal Hotel provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Amazing room. Fantastic breakfast with the chef cooking a perfect fried egg for a very fussy person and amazing porridge with rhubarb compote.

Located in Kirkwall and within 16 km of Maeshowe, Albert Hotel features a bar, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. This 3-star hotel offers room service. The style and decoration of the hotel were lovely and useful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The staff was very thoughtful and kind.

Situated on the Orkney Island, 14 miles from Kirkwall, Smithfield Hotel offers 3-star accommodation with free parking, a bar, and a restaurant. Kirkwall airport is 30 minutes’ drive away. We really appreciated it that the heating in our room could be turned on at all times.

Located on the shore of Harray Loch and family-run for over 30 years, the Merkister Hotel is a 15-minute drive from the main towns of Kirkwall and Stromness. The breakfast was beyond expectations. Absolutely delicious and hearty portions!

Set in Kirkwall, Orkney, family-run Ayre Hotel & Ayre Apartments overlooks Kirkwall harbour. It offers local produce in its restaurant and traditionally styled rooms, with free Wi-Fi. The continent breakfast was very nice, and the croissants were fresh and very tasty.

Located in Kirkwall, 2.7 km from Scapa Beach, The Orkney Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Orkney hotel is well situated in the heart of Kirkwall, right next to St. Magnus Cathedral and near to the town centre. Staff was warm, friendly and hospitable and even though the check-in was late at midnite, night manager was on guard to provide the keys and helped with the parking of car. The hotel as well as the selected King Room provided the vintage look, along with the artistic poster bed and other furniture. Netflix on a big screens tv in the evenings was good to relax , added by the jacuzzi in the the bath - the icing on the cake ! Breakfast was good though options were limited. Even we were given the small packed breakfast a night before the next day early checkout, which was very thoughtful gesture from the staff. Large selection of whisky at the hotel's bar was attractive. Overall, though pricey esp. in off season but a good stay to spend short time in Kirkwall.

The Stromness Hotel is set in Stromness. This hotel offers free WiFi. Ring of Brogdar is 6 km away and Standing Stones of Stenness is 6 km from the hotel. All rooms in the hotel are fitted with a TV. Rustic and charming, exacly what you imagine a once grand hotel from 1901 in a small fishing village on an island in North Atlandic should look like, loved it.

West End Guest House is set in Kirkwall, 1.2 km from Highland Park Distillery. Free private parking is available onsite. Certain rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. I had a wonderfull stay at the West End Hotel.
