The owners and staff were warm and friendly, our room was large, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Our four night stay was the highlight of our two week visit to Scotland.

What a fantastic stay! Hotel is in a great location, rooms are extremely comfortable and reasonably priced! Meals are locally sourced and super tasty! Staff are great but the star of the show was a chap called Scott! His service was impeccable! So polite, always smiling and so handsome! A true gentleman.! A fantastic breakfast chef ( makes delicious scrambled eggs!!) breakfast was a great atmosphere listening to him singing away, what a voice!! , a real home from home! His service in the restaurant in the evenings was just the same, being so kind and attentive to everybody no matter how busy he was. And then to see him throughout the day attending to guests, cleaning, even weeding the hotel grounds! A fantastic all rounder and a true credit to the hotel. I will definitely be returning to the Brae hotel! A real hidden gem! Well done Scott and Curtis

St Magnus Bay Hotel er staðsett í fallegu og friðsælu umhverfi í hjarta Shetland. Hún var einu sinni á tíð hjá W.H. Auden og Christopher Isherwood, skáldinu og leikskáldanum. The staff was wonderful - courteous, friendly, kind and super helpful whenever we needed anything. They seemed to make every effort to be sure that their guests are well taken care of and have an enjoyable stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and our bed was extremely comfortable. Housekeeping was attentive as well. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. The restaurant was also excellent, with attentive service and delicious food. The location is in a gorgeous and magical part of Shetland. I look forward to returning on our next trip to Shetland!

Busta House er til húsa í fallegri gamalli byggingu með en-suite-svefnherbergi, stórum garði og frábærum staðbundnum mat. Þaðan er útsýni yfir ströndina Busta Voe á meginlandi Shetland. Everything. I hated to leave. Andrew was the best. All the staff were wonderful. Food was exceptional.

It is perfectly situated. This grand beautiful historic building is being renovated by the present owners. I had a room with a sea view which was magnificent. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved the towel warmer and excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were amazing. Sam, the owner’s son, went above the call of duty to provide towels and vacuum the sand I tracked into the room. Harvey, the owner, was fantastic! He even gave me a ride to the bus station. If you are interested in historic preservation this is the hotel for you. It sits actually into the sea next to Bain’s Beach. I had a fabulous week at the Queens Hotel.

My room (324) was just the right size, en suite and located in a quiet wing. The furnishings and whole vibe of the place is Boho/shabby chic. I mean this in a good way. The ambience is laidback, friendly, uncomplicated. One could be extremely picky about some flaws and details in the decor or upkeep of the place, but it was clean, comfortable and not only nice staff but nice clientele as well. I would have stayed there on my return trip, but had private arrangements instead. However, I would definitely go back. The girls serving in the bar, the kind man who made generous breakfasts, and particularly Harvey the owner, were all lovely people. The hotel‘s in a great central location, there are cheaper places to stay, but none with the same vibes or funkiness.
