A Regency house overlooking Ullswater, the Macdonald Leeming House has an award-winning restaurant and views of the Cumbrian Fells. It is a 15-minute drive from the M6 motorway. Great staff, quiet and relaxing location, beautiful facilities , great food… we felt like kings during our stay.

Me encantó la ubicacion cerca del lago, el entorno es espectacular aunque no hayamos podido disfrutar de los bancos exteriores la ubicacion es increible para tomar algo al aire libre

Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

Lovely, friendly hosts, cozy resident lounge with log fire, stunning views, lovely character room with ensuite, great recommendation for dinner (Travellers Rest Inn, an easy, pretty flat walk apart from short incline at the end), fabulous breakfast.....and stayed in Alfred Wainwright's room apparently!

El Lowthwaite B&B se encuentra en Watermillock, a 33 km de Bowness-on-Windermere, y ofrece jardín y wifi gratis. We had a wonderful stay. The whole place is quite romantic and relaxed. Decoration is very good and has a bit of history, that the host will tell you about. The bedroom has a bathroom (with a big bathtub) and another one with just a toilet, a small living room with TV and sofas, and a room with two twin bed, that they kindly displayed together since we were a couple. Toiletries, towels and bathrobes were provided and good quality. Everything was quite clean. The place is very quiet, no noise whatsoever and quite close to Ullswater. The hosts were amazing, giving us plenty of suggestions of what to do around the area, they respect your privacy while being completely available. You have a place to park easily, and the hosts gave accurate directions. Honestly my favourite part was the breakfast which was excellent!! Probably the best breakfast I ever had on a hotel/BB! Everything was very fresh and made with excellent ingredients - you have a time slot and let them know what you want in advance (you have several options) and they will cook in for that time, so everything is fresh and warm. We were very glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was great!! Adam had offered to cook me a full English breakfast, however, as I was competing in the Helvellyn triathlon I was leaving early in the morning. In response, Adam cooked a BLT each for my Dad and I the night before and left it in the fridge for us the next day. Additionally, he left out a range of cereals for us for the morning. The accomodation itself was great, very clean and tidy, beautiful location, and the facilities were excellent. It even had Sky Sports!!
