Hótel Vellir is a 3-star property situated on the outskirts of the capital city and only 36 km from the airport. The receptionist Ashura changes an ordinary hotel experience into a great one. She shines so brightly, that any hotel with Ashura in the reception, should immediately award itself another star.

Located in the coastal town of Mosfellsbaer, this hotel is just off Iceland’s scenic Ring Road. Central Reykjavik is 10 minutes’ drive away. Both Wi-Fi and on-site private parking are free. Hotel Laxnes exceeded my expectations in every way. The location was stunning, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the bar was amazing with friendly staff. Plus, the entertainment options like watching football on a big screen and playing darts and pool made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This Viking-themed hotel is located at the harbour in the seaside town of Hafnarfjordur. Humpback whales can sometimes be spotted in the harbour during winter. We had a room facing the harbour. Very nice view. The entire property was very nice and I loved the Viking theme in it.

We loved our stay here- beautifully presented apartment with everything you need, and very comfortable. My only suggestion if you are going to stay here would be to make sure you allocate time to check out the area - the sea, the white house. We didn't have a car and caught buses- if we were to stay again we would hire a car instead, though i must say the bus system is really good!
