The location was perfect, just a couple minutes to places that we frequent (Nishiki market, Weekenders coffee), and proximity to train stations wasn't bad either. The staff were great and very helpful when we needed something. We have nothing but good comments, and would very much like to come back again soon :)

Everything starting with the location can take 5 min walking bus to almost everywhere, and almost most of the shrines are 15-20 min walk from that side even the famous Starbucks in an antique Japanese house. Second the personal is really nice and top service. I asked for a special occasion plan (honeymoon) and they gave me surprise with petals and 2 swans and a beautiful written message Furthermore, you can rent bicycles or use 24/7 electrical bicycle station with an app (coyicogi) near the hotel The food of the restaurant and the bakery were awesome my wife loved the pasta and the beagle blueberry chocolate and cheese The laundry excellent you don’t have to wait for people to finish after 5 min if no one comes you can ask the staff to pick them up, and if you want to go out you can leave them washing and pick them once you return from reception so you don’t loose time waiting. The hotel even gave us adapters, flat iron curler my wife was in love with 100% recommended hotel

The staff are absolutely superb. assisted us in everyway possible, from luggage forwarding, to locating a misplaced passport. Top notch. The room was all that I needed. It wasn’t large, but the bed and the bathroom were nice. It was easy to get to the Gion neighborhood on one bus and easy to walk to the subway. There were a couple of coffee shops on the block that were great for breakfast. They also did a good job handling my luggage.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the main photo , it looks like a shed and I was nervous, but this hotel really is lovely! The photo is of the covered entrance with a function room, the main hotel is behind that facing the tranquil ocean! Our room was gorgeous and waking up to the sound of the gentle waves was glorious. The beds were very comfortable and the room was incredibly spacious. The hot spring was lovely too! Wished we’d stayed longer.

Location, quiet on river with cafes near by. Only 15min walk to main shopping areas. Traditional Japanese style yet all modern conveniences.

Perfect location. This was such a cool hotel and lots of details were meticulously chosen for the vibe. The staff was helpful and friendly. They downplayed their English abilities when asked, but their English was excellent. There is a laundry on site which can be helpful for packing light. The room was spacious, maybe around a standard US room size, with a spacious shower. There is a little outdoor cafe right outside and this hotel is just steps away from many historic streets. This hotel was truly unique.
