The interior's clean and beautiful, I was so impressed that despite having an extremely long journey to get to Mima City, I still found myself run around the place to take photos. In addition to that, the staff here were extremely helpful and attentive. They helped me with everything, from arranging and communicating with the taxi driver, providing breakfast even when I check out early, giving advices about places that I want to visit to helping me with the booking of new flight ticket when my flight got cancelled out of nowhere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Although it’s located a distant from the train station, it’s just in front of a pier which was very scenic. Really enjoyed the relaxing vibe when I step out of the hotel early in the morning.

We had a very big room for two nights after finishing the Shikoku pilgrimage. We could take a god rest before turning back to Germany. The breakfast also was very good!

I particularly like the interior decor of the room. It is new and modern and yet retain some Japanese elements, like a tatami floor in the sitting area. It is clean and attends to details such as providing a lot of sockets for electrical appliances. It is conveniently located in the Oboke region

The room was way more spacious than I expected (Japanese hotel rooms are often very small) and there was a free soup machine. You could get some beef soup, corn soup and cream chowder soup for free! There was also a microwave on my floor.

The Hotel Sunshine in Tokushima is a good quality Hotel, in a good location, ample parking and good value for money. The friendly staff were very helpful, easy fast check-in, the rooms were comfortable, good lighting and very clean. The Hotel is suitable for everyone from family groups to business people.

Huge ocean facing room and lots of activities available by the beach and inside the building. We were on the club savvy plan so breakfast and lunch was included. Conveniently accessible with shuttle bus from Naruto JR station available. Friendly staffs who can speak English and with English instructions to get around the buildings.

The room was clean, spacious, and the bedding was super comfortable. The property was well maintained, and the plants were cared for. I was mainly interested in sitting by the river, and the ryokan is a short walk from the river. The staff were all lovely. To give just one example, I inquired about fireflies. I was told that it was still somewhat early, and I could not expect to find any, but a time to look for them was suggested. My companion and I went out that night, and spotted a few from a distance. The next day, the man at the front desk asked if we had found any. He went on to offer to drive us to a spot where we might find some. We were taken to the spot, and lo and behold, a few fireflies were hanging out. He explained that a few weeks later, there would be ten times as many, but we were very content with the few we saw. I've stayed at 5 star hotels in a number of countries, and I enjoyed the stay here much more than the stays at any of the opulent places. As far as I'm concerned, nature is more pleasant than human-derived luxuries. Oh yes, and the meals were great! I will be back.
