If you want peace and quiet and a lovely view of the Altafjord - then this small family hotel is perfect for you! Everything excellent! A most enjoyable establishment. The more expensive hotels of the city centre of Alta surely succumb to the fine details, satisfying landscape view and excellent standard of this one! Ten rooms (I believe), two nice lounges and varied options at breakfast!

Our stay at the Snowhotel was the highlight of our trip to Norway! The staff were all so welcoming and they really take customer service seriously, from the receptionists to the restaurant waiters, the mushers and the guides, they made us feel special. We stayed the first night in the snow hotel in the first room with the fireplace. We were given a tour of the facilities and an explanation on how to sleep on the ice beds in the sleeping bags. We were afraid we would be cold but the sleeping bags were actually quite warm and you also get woolen socks and balaclavas. We had quite a comfortable sleep and it was certainly a once in a lifetime experience to try! The snow hotel itself is a work of art, each room is unique and there is an ice bar as well which serves drinks in ice glasses. It's definitely worth a visit even if you don't spend the night there. On the second night we stayed in one of the Gamme cabins, which are very comfortable and have a huge glass window perfect to look out for the aurora. The breakfast buffet and set dinner were delicious, serving local dishes such as reindeer steak, arctic char and king crab salad. They also cater to dietary preferences if you inform them in advance. Lunch is available at the Gabba restaurant, the choices a bit limited, but we enjoyed the free-flowing hot berry juice there. There is also tea & coffee in the lounge available for guests throughout the day. For activities, we highly recommend the husky safari, snowmobile tour and the Sami meet-up - it's hard to pick our favorite as they were all incredible experiences. You can borrow thermal overalls and boots for these activities, as well as skis, sledges and snow shoes.

Tento speciální iglú hotel se nachází 20 km od centra města Alta u stejnojmenné řeky. The hotel was spectacular. We had the chance to view all the suites and they were all incredible. If you can splurge on the suite…do it! The art in the hotel is just incredibly creative and beautiful. All around in incredible!!

This central Kirkenes hotel is on the shore of Bøkfjorden, 900 metres from Hurtigruten Ferry Terminal. It offers free Wi-Fi and an à la carte restaurant with a seasonal menu. My check-in was at 15:00 but I arrived at 13:00 and I didn't have to wait, everything was ready. I had a very clean room with a breathtaking view, and it was also very calm. No annoying noice. It's so important to me.

This hotel is 150 metres from Dr. Wessels gate pedestrian street and 2 km from the Hurtigruten Cruise Ship Terminal. It offers free WiFi and a relaxation department. Central location, right next to the bus stop for the airport. Taxi can be booked in the lobby (they have a tablet there). Delicious breakfast with a great variety of dishes. Friendly staff. Nice room with a spacious bathroom.

8 SEASONS se nachází v destinaci Varangerbotn a má sdílený lounge, bar a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. The room was very comfortable and cosy, and the breakfast delicious. The bus stops litterally on the hotel parking lot.

Our stay was for two nights in the middle of November. Very quiet at this time of year, so we were the only guests occupying one of the 5 rooms. Lille Chili has a Thai restaurant on the lower floor and the rooms on the upper floor. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and were happy with our stay all around. Coffee making facilities are available in the corridor and a fridge can be used for food items or drinks.
