Situated next to Lake Te Anau, Kingsgate Hotel is within walking distance of the town centre. It offers excellent walking opportunities nearby and free onsite parking. Unlimited free WiFi is included.... The location was excellent for taking the coach in from Queenstown - 2 minutes walk from the DOC office where the coach stops. The bath tub was a lovely treat after long hiking days.

Our host, Ian, was ready and available to show us the property and issue the code for the door. He made us feel very welcome, and informed us about the area. He was also able to answer questions regarding the festivities (it was new year's eve, and he was able to answer and when not sure, check what the near by area had to offer). The property itself was very modern, very spacious compared to photo. serene, and clam surroundings. had all amenities, everything- from kitchen to bathroom. it’s like a home away from home. nice touch, very welcoming host. loved the home baked cookies.
