Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside. Loved the history of the stagecoach inn…the proprietor will share stories if you ask!

Boasting stunning views of mountains, river and the valley, Bealey Hotel is within a 30-minute drive of 5 ski fields. It offers a restaurant, barbecue facilities and free on-site parking. Room was spacious, very clean and had an amazing view of snow-capped mountains. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Everything was as new and in immaculate condition. Great for even the fussiest of people. The continental breakfast was much better than expected and included cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs as well as a wide range of cereal, with preserver fruit and yoghurt, not to mention coffee and a choice of several fruit juices.

The garden is beautiful and lovingly laid out; the interior is surprisingly modern and very tastefully furnished. We were all particularly impressed by the bathroom. The equipment was very good, we had all we needed. Everything is clean and in top condition. In our opinion, Pete's Place is the ideal accommodation for 2-3 people on site.

Set within a stunning historic rainforest and walking track, Jackson's Retreat Alpine Holiday Park offers 5-star accommodation with access to a garden and a barbecue. What a wonderful place to stop for the night. We stayed in one of the cabins which was compact but very comfortable. The shared facilities were fantastic, very clean with everything you need. Amazing views and 25 min hike up to the waterfall was lovely.

What a peaceful stay in this cozy cabin surrounded by nature, river sounds, morning birds chirping and amazing night sky. The highlight was the fireplace with wood provided which was so relaxing. Very clear instructions so it was easy to find it even when it was dark. Gary is super friendly, proactive and made sure we understood how to get there.
