Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. The location was incredible! The staff was very friendly. The facilities seemed a bit older, but mostly quite clean.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. Loved the room with the lake view! So spacious and a great view!

Hilton Lake Taupo includes free pool and gym access and features views over Lake Taupo and is just minutes away from the town centre. It is a 15-minute drive from Taupo Airport. Beautifully laid out and the service was fantastic.

This Millennium Hotel and Resort is located right on the edge of Lake Taupo. It offers luxury accommodation and facilities that include a heated pool, sauna, gym and tennis court. Everything was so clean, the staff was amazing and the food was delicious.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. The suite - kitchen, bathroom, sitting room are amazing!

Lakeland Resort is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Taupo. Set on 2.8 acres of landscaped grounds, this resort boasts a tennis court, an on-site restaurant and a seasonal outdoor swimming... Friendly, helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Close to the lakeside path. Good lighting in the room.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. The room was heated on arrival. Late check in, but greeted by friendly staff. Restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, warm fire, excellent service.

Located on the shore, the Lakefront Lodge Taupo offers spectacular lake views and free WiFi access. It has an outdoor swimming pool. Good last minute accommodation for the night. I booked this room for my sister and her daughter.
