Really great location. It's a cabin in the woods and we thoroughly enjoyed that. Has a space for campfires in the backyard, which we enjoyed a lot. A request for additional fire starters and trash handling (it is an active bear area) was dealt with within ~2 hours. The check-in and check-out was easy. Close to Sequoia National Park (beware, you have to drive up a winding road).

Literally on the Gateway to the Sequoia National Park, the location is perfect. The rooms are adequate, but nothing special. Probably the best feature is the restaurant right on the side of the river, which is a fantastic setting. Food is good too. No other facilities are available though and there is nothing else to do on the site.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very clean, wonderful and friendly staff. We were a bit further away from Sequoia National Park than we expected, but not the hotels fault. The walls were a bit thin and had noisy 'neighbors' for a bit of the time but overall I would recommend it and stay there again if in the area.

Great base for hiking in Sequoia National Park, with grocery store and good restaurants within walking distance. The kids enjoyed playing on the lawn in front of our room and in the playground next to the river, which was just across the road. The apartment is well-equipped and the building looks lovely.

The location was convenient to Sequoia National Park. The staff was very helpful, including signing us in at 2:30 AM! The room was clean. There is a laundry on the premises for a nominal fee. It was a pleasant stay. I would return here in the future.

Not only will you find a five star hotel amenities, but you will also meet wonderful hosts. Near the beautiful Sequoia national park, the cottage has everything you need to be comfortable. Thank you again John and Traci for making us feel at home !

If you like the amenities of a standard hotel (pool, wi-fi, continental breakfast, free & plentiful parking) within close proximity to the Sequoia National Park, then this is a good hotel.

I searched hotel near Sequoia National park, this one popped up, but this property is more than three hours away from the NP entrance. Our trip plan was messed up.

Very quiet place. Bed are confortable and perfect to rest. The equipement is sufficient for a night stay. Well placed compared to sequoia national park.

Close to Sequoia National Park and most restaurants in Three Rivers. Staff was not micromanaging like how they can be in motels/hotels.

The room was clean and big. Hotel was near by Sequoia National Park and there were few fast food restaurants.

Everything! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are scattered among large, gorgeous Sequioa trees. The property is next to the river and some rooms have a river view from private balconies. The river is accessible down a maintained path. Our room was great and even had a fireplace. The staff was very friendly and responsive to all our requests. When an unexpected problem occurred with the water lines, they went above and beyond to make sure we were not negatively impacted in any way! They truly care about their guests! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location, super nice and welcoming staff. The perfect place to rest, enjoy nature, The National parks and the several animal which are living in the motel. We felt like home, the best Motel experienced over 1 month of road trip in the USA

What a cute motel! We slept very well, it was quiet (we were in one of the last rooms in the carpark in the corner). The bed was very comfortable. There was tea and coffee in the main reception area a 30sec walk away. You are right in the middle of the small town. Go to Jake's bar! A very cool little town with western film history and even john wayne stayed at this motel. There are rooms in the main building and then bigger rooms I think in the outdoor motel bit so if you are particular, ask when booking. There was a pool but was winter and we didn't use.

One of the best hotel I have been to. The location. The mood just next to the river. Best place to feel that you’re close to the nature.

the managers are super nice people,very welcoming and friendly, best place to stan in Kernville,i aw lways stay here when i visit kern and im always happy and look foward to coming back,charming hotel in the heart of downtown
