This is very unique place to have a relaxing time with family and friends. I enjoyed the breakfast and diner in hotel restaurant. I can say that the level of food is like an art. After you enjoyed the dining there, you will fall in love with this hotel. Enjoying the hot spring is also very special moments. Every staff is very friendly and kind to help the customers. I really enjoyed this hotel and I wish that I could come back to this place in someday. Thank you to all staffs.

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Oita Bank Dome and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. The rooms were spacious and very traditional, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The location was close to for example Hyotan Onsen and the Jigoku sights as well as Kannawa bus station for easy access to a quick trip to Myoban as well. Every morning we got boiled onsen eggs outside our door and there were filter coffee bags and hot water in the kitchen. Miho went out of her way to help us out at every turn!

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 43 km from Oita Bank Dome and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. Absolutely amazing onsen. A definite top 5 for me. We got the room with a private one and it was simply so amazing to have that within seconds of your room. Also it felt like the water in the private in room onsens had much more minerals than the large one but the large one is well worth a stay too as it feels so free to be the only one there and gazing upon the mountains as you bathe.

Assi in Yufu provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. The property features garden and inner courtyard views, and is 43 km from Oita Bank Dome. We had the most wonderful stay at Assi. The host is so warm, welcoming, and generous. Even though she couldn't speak much English and we can't speak much Japanese communication was no problem due to her willingness to use a translation app. We stayed in room 1 which is a Japanese-style room with futons. It was so spacious and had everything we needed and more - a kettle and fridge, sofa, even a massage chair (which was heavenly after walking all day) and our own private patio looking our over the beautiful garden. The breakfast was outstanding, prepared with so much care. There is also coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchen, which was very much appreciated. Bathroom facilities are shared but were clean and tidy and all toiletries - even skincare - was provided. We also enjoyed the private onsen. Staying at Assi feels like you're a guest in someone's home in the best possible way.

Ikkoten ligger i Yufu, 3,3 km fra Yufuin motorsykkelmuseum, og har terrasse, felles salong, hage og gratis privat parkering. Loved the traditional ryokan vibe and the scenery. Loved the kaiseiki breakfast.

Karatsu Seaside Hotel offers accommodation in Higashi Karatsu. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room at this hotel is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. I had a great sea and mountain view and I had the pleasure of watching beautiful sunrise from my balcony. This hotel was more luxurious than I thought. The room was very spacious. The spa was also top notch.

Featuring a spa bath, Shikinosato Hanamura is located in Minamioguni. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. It was super comfortable to stay here, staff service, facilities, breakfast and dinner were all great. Is a good place to relax.

Situated in Aso, 42 km from Kumamoto Castle, Syukubo Aso features accommodation with a public bath. The venue itself is stunning, an old Samurai house, very ancient and cool. The staff were incredible, very attentive to every request- including building an entire vegetarian menu (!!!) with local ingredients for my wife (we did notify beforehand). The food overall in the dinners was outstanding, we stayed for two nights and had two completely different dishes. The private onsen was amazing, just what you need after a long day out.
