Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo... That was really amazing stay in a truly magnicient, exceptional hotel. This is definitely in my TOP 5 list of 5 star hotels and I wish to be back as soon as possible. From the first minute there I felt welcome. At the breakfast you get the Micheline-type attention and service.

Motel One Basel is located in Basel, 100 metres from the Architectural Museum. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and benefit from free WiFi access. Perfect location, right in the city centre. The staff was very kind. We arrived earlier around lunchtime and we could check in earlier as well. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay.

The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. Excellent room, front desk personnel very helpful and polite. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend Hotel Rochat to everyone!

Hotel brasserie au violon offers rooms with free WiFi in Basel, attractively situated 200 metres from Architectural Museum and 300 metres from Basel Cathedral. The hotel was adjacent to a church and a music museum and the surroundings were calm. The room was exactly as shown in the photos and was nicely and clean. I stayed alone and was able to rest comfortably on a wide bed with a good firmness mattress. The shower had hot water. The heating was off, probably because it was the beginning of March, but I turned it on as it got cold at night. It was nice that it warmed up quickly. The hotel is located at the top of a gently sloping staircase path, but you can also take the lift. Check-out was 11am, which gave me enough time to explore the centre in the morning, have breakfast and then return to the hotel. Highly recommended!

Hotel Stadthof enjoys a central location in Basel Old Town. The hotel’s restaurant serves traditional Swiss and international dishes in the elegant dining room or on the terrace in nice weather. In the city center. Tram station right there. Took a tram to the place I had to go.

Convenient location to tram, restaurants and grocery store. It was great that there was a washing machine available and drying racks. The balcony was great.

HITrental Marktplatz Apartments offers accommodation within less than 1 km of the centre of Basel, with free WiFi, and a kitchen with a dishwasher, an oven and a microwave. The best about the apartment was the location. We found ourselves in the middle of the old town, bustling with life, but no cars. We were woken up to a choir rehearsing outside our window - lovely! The manager on site, Lemlem, is a gem! She was very friendly and really helpful. The manager on the phone, Stephanie, was a little bit inflexible at first but ended up being helpful too.
