This place was better than I had expected because the staff at Hotel St. George made us feel welcome and at home. They were not only friendly but extremely accommodating. The table in the apartment was small for our needs so they generously offered us use of a conference room with large table. As for the rest, the beds were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good. I was worried about the street parking, but they told us where we could find a spot for free so no problems there. All in all a perfect stay.

The location might not be ideal if you are not travelling by car but the bus stop is near by so it’s doable. There are also various activities for children which was very nice.

One still feels the Jesuit heritage; in fact, the order still owns the premises, but exploitation rights have been transferred to a social enterprise in Fribourg who also uses the place for seminars and to help people in difficulties. This secularization of purpose is also the reason the original "Notre-Dame de la route" was dropped from the name. I very much enjoyed the tranquility and peace that the compound exudes. There are no frills, but everything there is works to perfection. The continental breakfast is excellent, very fresh, on a wonderfully presented buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended; the hotel is within walking distance to the sports center.

I stayed in this hotel for a long period after finishing a renting contract. The employees of the hotel were extremely kind and comprehensive regarding the special situation. They could manage to provide me extra support on some specific requests. The view over the prealps from Gruyere is fantastic (Moleson, Dent du Chamois), the breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure to end a 3 years stay in the canton of Fribourg in this charming hotel, during Christmas time. Thank you to the team!

Spacious and very clean room, very friendly staff, the hot pools were awesome, very tasty breakfast and dinner, the kids loved the VIP cards for free chocolate . Good location, not far from Gruyere old town, the chocolate factory in Broc and some beautiful nature spots. The music playing on Sunday was very nice. We would love to stay there again!

We love this boutique hotel to pieces. It is not the first time we stayed here and it's definitely not gonna be the last. The staff is super-friendly and helpful. We had a big room overlooking the main pedestrian street. The room was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed was very comfy. We appreciated the coffee and tea facilities in the room. We also appreciated a lot the bar on the ground floor that served very good beer and very good flammkuchen until relatively late. Parking is very easy to find if one follows the hotel instructions. We positively regretted that we only booked one night.

We were over the moon that there was a large fan in our room during the heatwave days of July. The staff was pleasant, kind and accommodating. The breakfast coffee was superb, the best I've had in my many visits to Switzerland.

Authentic character and charm. The entire staff could not have been nicer— Patrick was amazing! It was a rare chance to stay in a castle with amazing grounds, just a mile away from historic Murten - Morat. We loved every minute of our stay!
